In Chinese astrology (BaZi, or saju in Korea), your birth year, month, day and hour each get two characters. The two for your birth day are your day pillar, and they stand for you yourself, so that's what people read for personality. The bottom character is one of the 12 zodiac animals and the top one is one of five elements, so together they make 60 animals like the Fire Horse or the Wood Rat. It's the same system that makes 2026 the Year of the Fire Horse, applied to your birthday.
How is it different from my zodiac sign?
Everyone born in the same year shares a zodiac sign. Your birthday animal changes every day, so even classmates are usually different. That's why people say things like "I'm a Dragon, but my birthday animal is a Rabbit."

FAQ
Is this my BaZi day pillar or day master?
Yes. Your result is your day pillar from the 60-day cycle, and your Day Master is its element half. We just give it a cute animal face.
Is it accurate?
The day pillar depends only on the date, so it matches any BaZi calendar. If you were born after 11:30 pm, some traditions count the next day.
How is the aura rank decided?
Day pillars traditionally called fierce in Korean saju get extra points, along with a few other factors. It is our own just-for-fun ranking. A low rank means a peaceful, healing energy.
How does compatibility work?
We compare your day pillars (combinations, the elemental cycle, harmony and clashes between your animals) and whether you fill each other's missing elements. Your invite link contains only pillar numbers and your nickname, never your birthday.
Is my birthday saved?
It's never sent to a server. It's kept only in your browser so today's fortune shows up next time you visit.
